Before getting to know the Hvac Unit Diagram, would it be better to understand what HVAC itself is? Is an extension of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. For simplicity, people usually refer to HVAC only.
HVAC itself is a combination of heating and cooling units which are usually installed in one place to be used interchangeably in the winnter and summer season.
Compared to installing air conditioning units and heating separately, the installation of HVAC units will save money and also place a residential or office building.
Air Conditioner Equipment
An outdoor condenser unit is not the only part of your A / C. The air conditioning system includes the following components:
Coil Evaporator: In a system with a furnace, the evaporator coil sits on top of the furnace and is an important component that cools the air in the house. The furnace blower passes through the air across the evaporator coil. During this process, the air becomes cold due to contact with the cold coil and transfers heat from the air to the refrigerant.
Condenser Coil: This part of the air conditioning system cools (removes heat) from the refrigerant and is located in the outer condenser unit.
Compressor: A machine used to supply air or other gases with increased pressure, which is located in the outdoor condenser unit.
Fan: A mechanical device that creates air flow.
Refrigerant Filled Tubing: Circulating refrigerants between an outdoor condenser unit and an indoor evaporator coil.
Forced Furnace Gas Equipment
Return Air Duct (from the room): Duct carries air from the conditioned space to the mixing air duct or plenum unit.
Filter: A porous tool for removing dirt or solid particles from the air that passes through it.
Blower: a mechanical device that creates air flow. See the fan too.
Air Handling Unit (AHU): a tool used to condition and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilation and AC (HVAC) system. Air handlers are usually in the form of large metal boxes containing blowing, heating or cooling elements, filter racks or cubicles, sound absorbers and dampers. Air handling is usually connected to the ventilation system of the work channel which distributes air conditioning through the building and returns it to the AHU.
Air Supply Duct (to the room): Channels that carry air conditioning from the air supply unit to the diffusers or louvers.
